[請益] 請教npr news裡的一段話
下面這段話我有點不懂：
Same-sex couples in five states have been forced to travel to federal
facilities, sometimes long drives away, to enroll in federal benefit programs
for National Guard members.

它的意思是說有五州的同性伴侶被迫到聯邦辦事處（federal facilities？）
有時要去更遠的地方（sometimes long drives away？？）
幫國民兵（同志）成員來登入聯邦福利計劃。
不好意思，因為真的不太懂它要表達的意思，所以翻得很不好，特別是我有問號的地方
