students and was not above practising one-upmanship on us. I do not remember
learning anything from him.」（葉教授的英文課卻極枯燥。他對學生不感興趣，有時
甚至要作弄我們。我不記得從他那裡學到了什麼。)
請問為何practising one-upmanship on us是指作弄我們?
