[單字] prefer這單字的用法
以下是九月空英的一段話
啱f you're giving a birthday gift to a friend, he or she will prefer a persona
l gift to something generic such as money.
如果你要送生日禮物給朋友，對方會比較喜歡投其所好的個人化禮物，而非像錢這類的普
通禮物，
問題:從翻譯來推斷，這邊的to something generic ... 當成而非，我在牛津字典上找不
到這種用法，prefer .. to ..，to後面當成而非。
