Nunca can convey both never and ever.
No lo he visto nunca.
(I’ve never seen it.)
In phrases such as the next one, it translates as ever:
Ninguno de nosotros había esquiado nunca.
(None of us had ever skied before.)
It also translates as ever in questions ? often rhetorical.
¿Se vio nunca tal cosa?
Did you ever see such a thing?)
And in sentences involving más or menos and a comparison:
Esta más guapo que nunca.
(He’s more handsome than ever.)
Trabaja menos que nunca.
(He’s working less than ever.)
