的確如您所說，一般有be動詞比較，簡單句可以不用重複be動詞. 不過因為前面句尾有with Europeans，. 避免造成 Europeans 比 Aleuts or Inuits of.... 所以要加上 were 讓前方的Inuits of...比Aleuts or Inuits of....
