Ten chairs are evenly spaced around a round table and numbered
clockwise from 1 through 10. Five married couples are to sit
in the chairs with men and women alternating,and no one is
to sit either next to or directly across from his or her spouse.
How many seating arrangements are possible?
480 arrangments
解: 此題看似環狀排列(n!/n)，實則不然。
題中規定男女座位間隔交替且配偶不可並肩或坐在正
對面。
因此，此題實為直線排列:首先，假定女性先入座
(選1-3-5-7-9或2-4-6-8-10號座位)有(5!*2)240種排法，
相對於男性配偶而言，因不可坐在原配偶身邊，也不可
坐在其正對面，每一位男性配偶剩下2個位子可選擇
(例如:選定1號座位的女性，其配偶不可選2或10號
也不可選6號座位no one is sit either next to
or directly across from his or her spouse，所以
只能選4號或8號其中之一座位)，全部排法=5!*2*2=480。
