戴爾美語練功坊 雅思寫作測驗試題(5/20日) You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Present a written argument or case to an educated reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic: Richness is an important factor in helping people. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words. Legitimately, richness can grapple with untold quandaries and prickly trials. Richness or affluence is not everything that can help people, although it can ineluctably make a difference. Charity or other benevolent organizations often provide aid or consolation for the bereaved, offer placation to those desiring to commit suicide, or send a loaf of bread to keep the starving people alive in their wretchedness; as a consequence, besides money there must be other factors as well that can assuage people in need to get out of their deplorable conditions. As the significance of opportune financial aid cannot be over-estimated, so it is crucial and imperative not to ignore or downplay the value of encouraging people to hope and dream. cknowledging that there are things money cannot procure, people still ineradicably calculate that money is by far the most effective factor that can directly come to the rescue of people in extreme poverty. Frankly speaking, money can purchase multitudinous things--food for the starved, clothing for the freezing, medicines for the ill, housing for the homeless, schools for the young, infrastructure for the civilians, ammunition for the soldiers, to name only a few. It seems that cash contributions are so vital in assisting people that apparently not sufficiency is the hindrance to fulfillment of the matter. Hence, it is the obligation of the rich to help the needy, if only on moral, conscientious or humanitarian grounds. In view of the fact that things that money can be expended on to garner in succoring paupers in any way, richness, an essential means, justifies that end. In some critical situations concerning money or rather the destitution of it, opulence can definitely transmute the abject lives of the indigent people into dignified ones, and may even help save human lives, thereby constructing a more harmonious and egalitarian society. Often a situation, in contrast, in want of assistance has no bearing on pecuniary aid, in which a person inundated with dejection as well as sullenness is desirous of dream and hope. It goes without saying that not only the wealthy but common people in every hierarchy are able to assist other people in keeping their hopes alive, remaining sanguine. Teachers inculcate morality, sophistication and skills, doctors cure diseases, police officers safeguard social security, soldiers defend our nation, and preachers inspire faith as well as devoutness, and what not. In a certain sense, assuming one's liability is of great help to society as a whole. Giving away money being a virtue, not everyone should wait to become a Bill Gates before contributing benevolent deeds that would benefit people in general. Overtly, what the eligible philanthropist, as an example, is wrapped up in is to fulfill hopes for the very desperate and impart love and care for the very needy because for hopes people can dream and for being loved people would not give up hopes for the rosy future. Facilitating oneself to assist people to embrace confidence, hopes and dreams is aligned with the notion of a noble mission in life; consequently, money is always a momentous factor. Even so, that mission should go beyond charity because richness alone cannot tackle all the problems afflicting the less fortunate people. Nevertheless, without such contribution from the rich, many problems pertinent to poverty could only become worse. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.126.31.60 ※ 編輯: allenglish 來自: 59.126.31.60 (05/22 11:40)
