大家好：想要尋找一起上carol老師寫作課的朋友們每週三晚上 2小時共11週有興趣的同學可以自已寫信問老師 carollorac27@gmail.com 要附上自已的雅思成績讓老師參考一下目前還缺2人希望可以在9月中找到同學順利開課~~ 以下是課程資訊 We will learn: Avoiding generalizations Developing and justifying opinions Developing ideas Developing reasons Expressing advantages and disadvantages + its vocabulary Expressing result and purpose Expressing solutions Paragraph structure Planning essays Understanding questions Useful linking words Using “which” to organize information Using it/they/this/these rather than “you/i” to be more formal Writing conclusions Writing introductions 3 different academic essays: 1. for/against 2. opinion 3. suggesting solutions to problems Each week you’ll write an essay, I’ll correct it and you will re-write to add in my suggestions. I’ll correct it again. I’ll take each person’s corrected essay (without the name) and share with the group so that you can learn from each other (and also from my comments to each student). In this way, I have seen a few students go from 5.0 to 6.5 IELTS after the course. I will also give you anonymous essays from previous students (at a higher level than you, 7.0) to get an idea of what you need to write. This will be part of your homework.
