Lead Linguistic for World's Top 3 Brand
We’re looking for a highly dedicated and experienced copywriter/linguist to
join our client’s Globalization team. You will participate in exponential
international growth and drive global localization initiatives. You have a
passion for and an understanding of linguistics and globalization, and act as
brand guardian across our organization. You are a creative writer and
thinker. You strive for linguistic excellence, and use technology to innovate
workflow and optimize efficiency. You work smart, are able to prioritize
across competing priorities and are able to escalate when needed. You are
able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and cross-functional
relationships. You love being immersed in the detail and mentor / encourage
freelance linguistics to achieve their full potential. You want to help build
and lead a linguistic team for your country to create an exceptional customer
experience for our global audience.
Act as brand champion, and is voice of authority across all customer and
employee facing content
Responsible for in-country editing of customer facing marketing materials
which are by nature creative and journalis
Partners with editing teams across the organization to ensure alignment with
the company’s tone of voice, ensuring clarity and accuracy of translations,
and maintaining the highest possible standards. Responsible for developing
and maintaining a consistent tone of voice, personality and cultural
relevancy for their language and country. Leverage glossaries and style
guides (for customer facing content)
Must be a native Mandarin speaker and have a nuanced understanding
of language conventions, style and usage.
Should posess familiary with US English style and usage.
- Must have extensive experience in writing, editing, proofreading and
localizing marketing communications for consumer facing, high profile brands.
Posess an undergraduate degree and 10+ years editorial experience or advanced
degree. Ideal candidates will have previous editorial, proofreading and
localization experience at an advertising agency or marketing communcations
group.
- Candidates must be willing to travel locally and internationally as
required.
