簡單跟各位前輩先進分享近年的投稿經驗，我原本帳號是dk191726，無奈當兵後忘記原本的帳號密碼...有興趣的人可以收尋我前文 First 1. 領域： CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY 2. 期刊名稱：Chemical Communications, 21/163 (學門指標性期刊) 3. 被accepted/revised/rejected： Reject and Resubmit -> Accepted with suitable revision Revisions as a Paper -> Accept 4. 投稿後大約多久才收到結果： Submission -> 4 weeks -> Sent to an adjudicative referee-> 2 weeks -> Revised for submission -> 2 weeks -> Accepted (Total 2 months) 5. reviewer的數目：3 心得: 這是我博班最後一個題目，2013年11月口試完，約留到隔年1月補完數據辦離校寫完manuscript後開始一連串的投稿，一直試到最後的ChemComm才被接收。這中間編輯還找了仲裁： I am writing to update you on the progress of your recent submission to ChemComm. I apologise that the length of the review process on this occasion is longer than is usual for ChemComm and we are not yet able to provide you with an editorial decision. Unfortunately, the two initial reports did not contain agreeing recommendations; your manuscript has therefore been sent to an adjudicative referee. 運氣不錯，最後一位referee給了好評，編輯給修改後接受，在當兵前趕緊補了數據 (老師人很好有給工讀金)，最後在入伍當天收到接受函，新訓結束後才知道XD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 以下投稿皆是博後時期的經驗 Second 1. 領域： CHEMISTRY, ANALYTICAL 2. 期刊名稱：Journal of Chromatography A, 11/75 (學門指標性期刊) 3. 被accepted/revised/rejected： Reject and Resubmit -> Accepted with minor revision Revisions as a Paper -> Accept 4. 投稿後大約多久才收到結果： Submission -> 3 months -> Revised for submission -> 2 days -> Accepted -> 11 days 5. reviewer的數目：2 心得：這篇算是老闆朋友邀稿的，過程還算順利，不過審稿時間算有點久。審稿意見中其中一個referee是副主編，只要求格式修改，另一個只問了一個問題。所以我們收到信後很快地在兩天內就回覆給編輯，不久就收到接受信了! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Third 1. 領域： CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY 2. 期刊名稱：Small, 17/163 (學門極具聲望之學術期刊，IF > 8) 3. 被accepted/revised/rejected： Reject and Resubmit -> Accepted with minor revision Revisions as a Paper -> Accept 4. 投稿後大約多久才收到結果： Submission -> 4.5 months -> Revised for submission -> 4 days -> Accepted -> 1 day 5. reviewer的數目：2 心得：這篇是老闆跟美國大咖合作的結果，前前後後花了我們快兩年的時間，包含文章修改、投稿時間、補足實驗等，歷經滄桑... 這篇一開始是老闆自己投稿，一開投稿至JACS，很開心Stang有送外審，但結果不如預期，從referee中學到了很多經驗，之後我們遵循comment認真修改了文章，接著改投至ANIE、Nano Letter、皆未送審，後來美國大咖建議由他來投稿，掛共同通訊作者 (以他為主)，改投至Advanced Mateials，送外審之後，referee意見一正一反，編輯建議轉投子期刊。接著花了一點時間補實驗修改後，美國大老覺得文章品質整體提升，不如再試試JACS的Full paper (先前為communication)，並在cover letter中註明修改內容，不久就收到mail說文章已發派給Prof. Yaghi處理，但美國大老似乎跟那位副主編有過節於似就寫了信給Stang要求更換副主編，Stang要求我們提出理由為何不合適 (原來這就是所謂的 conflict of interest)，我就找了幾篇副主編的文章表示主題雷同 Stang也認同我的表徵，但結果變成他來處理我們的稿件。審稿完畢，兩個referee，一個直接reject說內容不適合 (我強烈懷疑根本是那個副主編審稿的)，另一個建議小修後接受，美國大老感到不悅，寫信抗辯說referee 1 is too bias，並舉了一堆文獻說明我們的工作在該領域是有很大的重要性與突破，但還是失敗... 接著改投至ANIE，主編提出為什麼文章主題一樣但主要通訊作者換人的問題，於是又寫了信回覆並highlight出文章做了哪些修改，並解釋了與前一版的不同，但編輯最後還是給了拒稿: Thank you for your email and for the explanation. I do not agree with you that "In addition, since no review comments were provided from the previous submission to Angew as well as the concepts/tones were newly formulated and most (>70%) of the results are new from a lot of newly designed experiments, it is very difficult to assume that the new version is merely a revised/extended version of the previous submission." Therefore I do not accept your arguements that the emphasis of the manuscripts is different and that they should not be treated as related submissions. 最後最後，我們將文章轉投至Small，一個禮拜後副編輯沒送外審，罐頭信件拒稿，我們又寫了抗辯信，說明之前投稿至Advanced Materials主編給轉投至子期刊，等了約1個月都沒消息 (這中間還寫了兩封信詢問進度)，於是美國大老直接寫信給主編， We are very disappointed that the Editor Dr. XXX just simply ignored our appeal sent on September 23, 2015 as well as two follow-up emails sent on October 5 &12, 2015 to check the status of our appeal, which definitely is very unprofessional. In light of this, we have to withdraw our manuscript (smll.201502817) from Small. 三天後編輯回信表示要重啟我們的文章給予送審 (吵鬧的小孩有糖吃?)，歷經三個月後收到意見，兩個正面，並沒什麼太大問題，編輯還給了VIP與Frontispiece，這個成果還特別在Materials Views China中報導，覺得好事多磨阿... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fourth 1. 領域： CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY 2. 期刊名稱：Langmuir, 35/163 3. 被accepted/revised/rejected： Reject and Resubmit -> Accepted with minor revision Revisions as a Paper-> Accept 4. 投稿後大約多久才收到結果： Submission -> 4 weeks -> Revised for submission -> 1 week -> Accepted -> 2 weeks 5. reviewer的數目：3 心得：這篇工作一開始是投稿至Analytical Chemistry，但referee不青睞我們的工作，於是改投至Langmuir。在ACS系統中我們也將先前被AC副編輯的建議給附上 After a careful study of the manuscript and considering the reviewers' comments, I regret to inform you that I have decided against publication. The potential usefulness of your work is not in question. However, in light of the reviewers' evaluation and comments, I do not believe that publication is justified. 一個月後收到審稿意見，兩正一反，其中反的那位referee還是跟送審到AC的同一位.. 不知道是編輯故意找同一位還是巧合?建議大家收到的comment還是要照著改... 不過編輯人很好，給我們小修後接受。 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fifth 1. 領域： CHEMISTRY, MULTIDISCIPLINARY 2. 期刊名稱：Chemistry-A European Journal, 24/163 (學門指標性期刊) 3. 被accepted/revised/rejected： Reject and Resubmit -> Accepted with minor revision Revisions as a Paper-> Accept 4. 投稿後大約多久才收到結果： Submission -> 3 months -> Revised for submission -> 4 days -> Accepted -> 1 day 5. reviewer的數目：3 心得：上個月剛被接受的工作，運氣還不錯。主要是實驗過程中發現材料的另一項特性於是就改寫主文跟補了一些數據，強調此方法可以改善以往的缺點。3位審稿人都給高度評價，副編輯直接說文章快被接受了，並同時寄信詢問製作封面的意願，個人覺得程序有點怪，如果最後被拒稿，那封面是要算誰的XD 最後文章沒意外被接受了，不過只有選到Inside Cover (花了1000 EUR)。 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 以上是小弟最近的投稿經驗，分享給各位先進。我目前還在努力發表文章中，投稿至JACS 還在跟Stang抗辯中，老闆覺得有試有機會。希望各位投稿順利喔! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 140.135.56.101 ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/PhD/M.1480308135.A.A07.html ※ 編輯: ChemCommun (140.135.56.101), 11/28/2016 12:46:11
