[討論] 請問句翻譯

請問大大，
最後一行的倒數第四個字"decisive"的詞性及該如何翻譯呢?
查字典這個字應該是形容詞，
但是如果是形容詞就怪怪的，因為在文法上既不能形容動詞prove，
形容詞後面我記得也不能接for來修飾那個後面的名詞accused，
實在是看不懂，有請指點~
