一、The Bible(聖經)記載許多智慧箴言，應用在日常生活上相當有效，對企業的管理，也有果效，怎麼說呢?!我們來看一下。二、內文 Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank. Proverbs 22:29 “Not (be) slothful in business; (but instead be) fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” Romans 12:11 “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds.” Proverbs 27:23 三、多益英檢文法整理 1. skilled(adj):熟練的，有技能的，Proverbs:箴言書，serve(V):服事， rank(N):階級、軍階、排行，slothful(adj):懶散的，fervent(adj):熱情的， instead(adv):代替，diligent(adj):辛勤的，state(N):國家、現況，flock(N):(羊)群，Romans:羅馬書，herd(N):牧群 2. skilled原文希伯來文有指quick、diligent、skilful與ready之意，因此有所謂 quick to respond(迅速回應)的意思。 A. John is highly skilled at dealing with difficult customers. 約翰對於應付難纏的客人相當有一套。 B. Furniture-making is very skilled work. 家具製造是相當需要技術的工作。 3. 箴言22篇在這裡的章節也指出，一旦經營企業勤快就會出現growth(N):成長，而成長則帶來wealth(N):財富。羅馬書中，所使用的slothful(adj):懶散的，有 slowness(N):慢的與indolence(N):懶散與laziness(N):懶惰，企業如果沒有視消費者為上賓，自然就會將客戶drive customers away(趕跑生意了。) 4. instead也可以instead of替換，例如: A. My sister was ill so I went instead. (我妹妹生病了，我已我去了。) B. He didn’t go. Instead, he chose to stay here. (他並沒有走，反而他選擇留下來。) We just had some bread instead of a full meal. (我們只吃了一些麵包，並沒有吃到全餐。) C. I can walk to office instead of going by car. (我可以走路到辦公室，並不用開車了。) D. If you had worked harder, you would not have failed.
