一、 心情好時,攸關記憶力是否會受到影響。 二、 內文: Scientists researching the relationship between mood and the memory have found being in a good mood decreases your ability to retain information. Researchers gauged participants' mood before and after showing them a video clip. Some were shown a segment of a stand-up comedy routine, while others watched an instructional video on how to install flooring, according to a Missouri statement. After watching the videos, both groups completed a memory test. Those who watched the comedy routine and were in a better mood performed significantly worse on the task. 'Being in a good mood has been shown to increase creative problem-solving skills and other aspects of thinking.'“ Other studies have found that you have more creativity when you’re in a good mood,” says the study’s lead author, Elizabeth A. Martin, a doctoral candidate at the University of Missouri. “We may have found something that a good mood is bad for.” 三、 多益英檢文法整理 1. mood(N):心情,decrease(V):減少,retain(V):保留,gauge(V):量、評估 ,participant(N):參加者,clip(N): (影片)片段,segment(N):片段,stand-up:獨角戲 ,increase(V):增加,doctoral candidate:博士候選人。 2. candidate(N): 候選人或申請人與可能發生某事之意,被提名人則為 nominee,申請人則為applicant,例如: A. an Oscar nominee (獲得奧斯卡提名的人) B. a presidential candidate (總統候選人) C. a candidate for the master degree(碩士學位候選人) D.
