Lesson One We Had a Good Time.
Peter: How was your summer vacation, Sam?
Sam: It was OK. I went to Kaohsiung with my brother Hank.
We just came back yesterday.
Peter: What did you do there?
Sam: I went to a zoo with Hank. We saw monkeys, tigers, lions, an
elephant. The zoo held a birthday party for the monkey king. We took photos
with him.
Peter: That was fun.
Sam: Yes. How about your vacation?
Peter: Well, my family and I took a trip to eastern Taiwan last week. We had
a good time.
Sam: What did you do on the trip?
Peter: We went to Taitung. The scenery was beautiful. We also had a karaoke
night at a friend’s home.
Sam: A karaoke night?
Peter: Yes. My father’s friend was good at aboriginal songs. And we sang
with him all night. I can sing Naluwan for you.
