這是我問以前大學時代一個在美國執過業的老師的看法
大家可以參考看看
in patient care is different from outpatient,
usually when patients are already in the hospital,
and treatment are going on,
usually we don't inform parents every single steps unless it is
demanded.
it is usually taken for granted that parents trust doctors to make
the right decision for their children while being hospitalized.
can communicate with parents on this.
in outpatients
未成年,需要家長知會,however,
if parents brought their children to see me,
usuallly for psychological and emotional issues,
i will request for children's privacy,
and ask parents to allow me hold the confidenciality,
otherwise, i am not able to treat the children.
usually, parents will say ok
