FREELANCE WRITING - 2008-PRESENT
I have experience in several forms of writing, from the creative to the
functional. Most recently, I've written com-parative articles for
www.diffen.com, promotional copy for an online sporting gear vendor and
freelance travel articles for regional magazines.
In terms of technical writing, I completed an 80-page business operations
ma-nual for We-Fulfill (see references), an order fulfillment company based
in Grand Junction, CO, including visual data and photos.
My writing credits also include articles for Grand Valley Magazine,
and winning first prize in the 2010 CMU Literary Review fiction contest for
a short story.
ESL TEACHER; JEJU, SOUTH KOREA - 2011-2012
I lived in South Korea for a period of six months, employed as an English
teacher at a private after-school academy. Student ages ranged from 4 to 50
years old, and classes had up to seven students. Some teaching materials
were provided, such as workbooks or supplies, but teachers were largely
responsible for creating and implementing their own curriculum.
