我幫友人代po 因為他沒有上ptt
先說明一下 友人為美國出生、長大、念書的華人,ABC native speaker
近一年半隨父母回台定居,中文尚可溝通
目前因為剛辭掉一個英文補習班的工作,在休息階段想利用閒暇找個家教
也算當做認識台灣朋友的機會。
如果大家想要學習道地的英文、認識美國文化,非常推薦這個機會。
薪資要求不高,可以接受試教,也會和同學討論後再量身打造課程。

Self-Introduction:
Hi, my name is Ira. I have been living in Taiwan for close to a year and a
half now. I have lived the rest of my life in the United States. For the past
five months, I have been working as an American English teacher at a cram
school in Taipei. Because of my college major and family background, I am a
bit more of an analytical and observant person. These are what I consider my
strengths, and they are helpful to me in my career and academic pursuits, as
I am more able to scrutinize information, place things in context, and make
more appropriate and considered decisions. In terms of my educational
background, other than the above, I have also taken a GRE (Graduate Record
Examination) course in college and completed scientific and technical writing
courses. I have worked with students at my current job as young as second
grade, but am probably most effective with students that are in middle school
or higher.
I am flexible in my teaching style. I can recognize that learners of
different ages will conceive of things in ways that are not the same. I am
able to make adjustments to different styles of learning after some
consideration about what is the likely manner in which the individual student
may regard things. I am willing to help in any type of work that a student
may have, be that his or her school English or otherwise. I can also help to
put together and develop materials that strengthen students’ current English
abilities. I believe that learning is a characteristic that grows and refines
over a lifetime. Sometimes awareness on part of the student, in this respect,
can go a long way towards his or her education. For this reason, I may be of
help as a teacher, as I do feel that excelling in academics is not an
endpoint in it of itself.
