嗨，大家好~ (此PhD招生會有funding，RA或是TA其中一種) 剛好去年我在申請學校時跟我面試的Buffalo BME老師最近又寫信給我說她最近今年預計要收學生，問我還有沒有興趣到她實驗室念PhD 但我今年一月已經開始在UWM念PhD了，就幫她po一下招生資訊～因為去年Skype面試覺得老師人還不錯，我們面試了快三小時XD (如果有在Buffalo BME的同學也許可以補充資訊，她實驗室應該有個台灣碩士生) 以下是就我去年跟Dr.Wu面試時了解的她的簡短介紹: 她是一位中國人，英文講得還蠻好的，不太有明顯口音她實驗室去年應該是收了一位新的博士生(因為我是去年的備一XD) 九月應該畢業了一位，原先記得是三位，實驗室現在應該共三位博士生她的教學方式是會自己親自帶，所以大概不會有被放生的狀況做的研究基本上會是跟Sensors、細胞實驗、微流體裝置、藥物傳遞比較相關詳情可能就有興趣的人跟她Skype時會更清楚，蠻多當初面試的內容我有點忘記了以下是招生資訊，供有興趣的人參考: Looking for a PhD student The Engineered Theranostic Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at University at Buffalo, the State University of New York (Buffalo, NY) is looking for a highly motivated PhD student. The student will work on the development of in vitro diagnostic biosensors for cancer screening, early detection, treatment response monitoring and prognosis. The student is expected to work independently as well as in collaboration with other group members to complete projects in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Qualified applicants should have BS or MS degree in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, biotechnology or related fields. Preferred Qualifications Priority will be given to applicants with MS degree or currently in MS program. Applicants with research experience in biosensors, microfluidic devices and cancer diagnosis are preferred. Required materials Applicants must provide a curriculum vitae, a two page or less Personal Statement, GRE, TOEFL (for international students), a copy of transcripts, and contact information for three references. When selected for next step, referees will be emailed to provide their reference letters. Start date Immediately Stipend support RA or TA, minimum $24,000 per year (depending on research performance). Annual living cost at Buffalo is ~$18,900.
