譬如你相信一個推銷員的話，你要買了。你會說：
I am sold. (我”相信”你，我”買”了)
舉一個被動式的”敘述句”：
You are sold a stolen car. (你被賣了一部贓車。也就是你買了贓車)
將這個句子改為”否定被動式的敘述句”：
You aren’t sold a stolen car. (你沒有被賣了一部贓車。也就是你沒買贓車)
再將這個句子改為”否定被動式的祈使句”：
(You) don’t be sold a stolen car. (不要被賣了一部贓車。也就是不要買贓車)
所以Don't be sold a dream. 是一個”否定被動式的祈使句”。
意思是：不要被賣了一個夢，也就是不要相信夢。
Remember how the past has been. 要記得經歷過的事(不是夢境或夢想)。
Don't be led to believe this one's for you. 不要被導引著去相信這個人是適合你的
。
Calculate your needs. 算計一下你的需求。
I see there's room to plant your seeds. 我看到有空間去栽種你的種子。
Don't decide till you see how the others have grown. 等到你看見別人是如何成長
