[問題] 我應該去嗎
小弟之前申請愛丁堡大學的Criminology and Criminal Justice degree
結果下來conditional offer
原因是語言成績未達標準(我是用托福87去申請的)
後來代辦幫我問可不可以去上pre-session
結果它回覆是這樣的
"From May to September we offer an English for Academic Purposes (EAP)programme
which is designed for international students who will be starting a university
course in Britain in September 2009. The length of English language tuition
recommended depends on the student's current level of English and the level of
English required in order for the student to receive an unconditional offer.
Please note that students with a conditional offer will usually be expected to
sit an IELTS exam towards the end of their course at IALS."
我聽有些從英國留學回來的朋友說
其實上完它的先修課
就算考試沒過也可以跟系辦講
拜託他們讓你註冊
但我現在很掙扎
不知道要不要去上它的先修
還是去上其它不需要再考試學校的presession
因為我很想唸愛大
但萬一上完先修考試沒達標準 那不是就得收拾行李回國
這樣豈不是賠了夫人又折兵 兩頭空
想請問有在愛大上課或已經畢業的學長姊們
我應該賭一賭去上嗎
因為我實在有點擔心先修的時間不夠我準備雅思
畢竟我只有考過托福 沒有雅思的經驗
一切要重新來過
還是說我乾脆在英國重考一次托福？
又或者
我該聽代辦的話
先選一家上完先修就不用考試的學校
然後上完再考雅思
如果有達標準就去唸愛大呢
請教各位有經驗的前輩們來一解迷津
