Job Descriptions A. Work content: To teach Mandarin in IITM (since July of 2015) B. Work venue: Chennai, India C. Work conditions: (1) Airfares of both Taiwan (Taipei/Kaohsiung)-Chennai and Chennai to Taiwan (Taipei/Kaohsiung) will be provided by IITM. (2) NTD 36,000 per month will be provided by Taiwan Education Center in India. (3) Free accommodation and medical service on the IITM campus Requirements A. General Requirements (1) English listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency. (2) Master degree in Humanities, Social Science, Culture, International Relations or related fields. (3) Be able to give 2 Traditional Chinese courses per week at least. (4) Who can provide an additional course from January 2015 to May of 2016 would be preferred. The additional course could be an introductory course on Chinese literature, popular culture, history, economy, society and related fields. The candidate may also be asked to contribute language related input into other activities of the Taiwan Education Center in India. B. Selection and Recommendation Conditions (Choose two out of five) (1) Chinese language teaching in graduate institutes of universities, graduates of applied Chinese language departments, university graduates who have completed Chinese language teaching courses. (2) Full-time and part-time teachers currently serving at university or Chinese language centers. (3) Those that have completed more than 96 hours of Chinese language teaching qualification training courses. (1) Chinese language teaching proficiency certifications from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. (2) More than 2 years of Chinese language teaching experiences. How to apply 1st. Step Send us the following documents and register via e-mail (【Name-Apply for the Mandarin Instructor of TEC-IITM】) by May 11 2015. 1. Resume (in both Chinese and English) 2. Proof of Chinese language teaching proficiency (course completion certificate, proof of teaching work, etc.) 3. Diploma (duplicate copy) 4. Proof of English proficiency 5. Other favorable information (self-selected) 2nd. Step Those whose written information passes the review will be notified for a scheduled test and interview on May 12nd OR 14th. There will be a written test first and then an 15 minute interview in the afternoon. You might be asked to make a demonstration of teaching during the interview. 3rd. Step Admitted individuals should sign the contract within the specified time and participate in the pre-departure training and presentation.
