Non-dairy creamers are substances which are intended to substitute for milk
or cream as an additive for coffee, or other beverages; they do not contain
lactose, and are therefore not considered dairy products. Non-dairy creamers
typically contain sodium caseinate, and a milk protein (casein) derivative
that does not contain lactose. Other common ingredients include corn syrup
and vegetable juice solids. Some creamers are based on soy candels rather
than on milk fat.
