[考題] 常常字都認識,但句子還是讀的霧煞煞....
考題：公職考古題
題目：
Peter Drucker became the disputed father of management－the discipline ____ to
the study of organizations.

The answer is (2)devoted
提問：1.常常碰到很多類似這種"被動"的題目但都搞不懂
只能靠著直覺和語感作答,結果都錯!
有些句子是beV+pp,但有些又可以只要pp就好(像這題),前面不需要beV
(抱歉手邊沒有例句)
這題－後的"the discipline ____ to the study of organizations."
"the discipline"主詞後面不是應該接動詞嗎?為什麼可以直接放pp
還是說"the discipline....of organizations."不算是另一個主要句呢?
而是前句的子句呢?
2.－後的這句"the discipline devoted to the study of organizations."
應該怎麼翻譯?->紀律/訓練...貢獻/投入...組織的研究....
好像快翻成功但又覺得在講什麼阿@@??
3.－後的句子是要修飾前面的"management"還是"the disputed father"呢?
