[單字] IV的用法? 還是縮寫

最近在看一篇文章 是美國職棒選手輸掉世界大賽g7後的感想
其中有兩個地方用了IV 如下

「My body shut down after we lost Game 7 of the World Series.

that next morning after we lost and head back over to the field to have a
fluids IV put in.」
