Below is an interesting English riddle.
There were six federal senators joining the party with their wives.
During the party, the gentlemen were talking about the bills they
were sponsoring. And you, who eavesdropped and had intercepted several
clues, shall find out which state each senator represents, which
bill each senator supports, and find out who is whose wife.
(In solving this riddle, you may need a map of the United States.)
Clues:
1.Peggy married the Senator from Utah.
2.Senator Clawson is sponsoring a bill on military atheletics.
3.Jane did not marry the senator fron Indiana.
4.The state of Ohio elected Jim Jones as a senator.
5.The senator from Maine is sponsoring a bill on the National Leaf.
6.Employment for the handicapped is being sponsored by Senator Henry.
7.Senator Johnson does not represent any state west of Ohio.
8.Senator and Mrs. Jill Clawson come from Sun City, Idaho.
9.Senator Henry is from Georgia.
10.The Indiana Senator wants to make St. Patrick's day a national holiday.
11.Senator Rooney's wife is named Corinne.
12.Mary's husband is sponsoring a bill about school busing.
13.Senator Smith is sponsoring a bill on a federal library.
14.Kathy didn't marry a Southern senator.
