Hello, let me introduce myself formally. My name is Chris, which is also my nickname. But here in Tainan, my classmates like to call me "Crete" for no reason. I am an enthusiastic movie-goer and a fine swimmer. Speak of which, I had once competed in a small swimming competition. Unfortunately, I lost. Despite the failure, I still love to go swimming. In addition to the sport, I have a liking for music as well. Jazz and Latino music are my favorite. In my opinion, life without music is just like sunshine without shade. There's one more hobby of mine-- Embarrasingly speaking, I love to eat. But I guanrantee you that I'm neither fat nor heavy. My birthday is on May 23rd. The most impressive birthday party was held ↓(what a coincidence) by 17 of my friends on my 17th birthday. They had secretly planned to throw a ↓(it was really a big surprise) party for me since April, and I had never noticed until that very day. Beyond that, I have to say that the highlight of the party was the 1600-dollar ↓(it was chocolate flavor, so delicious) birthday cake, which my friends bought me as a birthday present. I'm still a high school student now, but I'm going to be a senior of my school, Tainan National First Senior High. That is to say, I'm about to graduate and head for college next year. I have been learning English since my first year in elementary school, so it's probably around...11 years, I suppose. English has been a subject which I have specialized in the most. Naturally, I have performed better in English than in other subject, like history. (I'm a living proof that it's not true that he who has a good command of English is definitely adept at history or Chinese.) I love to study Chinese very much, but I just feel helpless and never get the point when studying history. Perhaps some of you would like to tell me how to study history well, and drag me out of the frustration. However, I refer to English as not only a subject, but a key to open up the door to knowledge. If one masters in English, which is a dominant language in the world, he or she would have chances to learn more, possibly about foreign culture. On the other hand, English is a great tool in communication, and what's better, it offers more chances for me to contact with foreigners. I think the above is why I love to improve my English skill so hard but so happily. I logged onto the Internet very often before, and will log onto the Internet more often after I graduate from high school. In this case, I might be interested in being the second board maintainer of "EngTalk" when I become a freshman next year, since I have a passion for this board. Actually, I'm interested in being a maintainer now, but I'm afraid that I won't have too much time to idle around on the net after the next semester begins, for I have to prepare for the horrible entrance exam. Under the circumstances, I guess I'll just wait until next summer, and then I'll formally apply for the board maintainer of EngTalk. Last but not least, I must say that I would love to get acquainted with all of you. If you think alike, below is how you could contact me. My blog http://www.wretch.cc/blog/otterheron My e-mail adress ottersycamore@yahoo.com.tw or the one on PTT (I suggest the latter) My ID of yahoo messenger elf00804 Well, I think that would be all of my self-introduction, or rather an autobiography.^^ Thank you anyway for finishing reading it! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.223.43.147
