[Talk] Why waste the chance?
Well... what follows is my gibberish...

It is a fact that, in Taiwan, there are not much opportunities for EFL learners
to speak English. But if there is one, will you guys seize and make best of
that opportunity?
I recall what happened during my participation in an "English culture camp."
It was demanded that people involved should speak English, but it turned out
otherwise.
Most of the participants chatted in Chinese. There were group dicussion
periods, during which we should discuss what were told in the lectures we
attended, but more often than not, the topic digressed to the drama
preparation for the event of achievement performance. That's fine by me.
But one girl said "Let's talk in Chinese. That would be fast to progress
the discussion." (She's an English major, and she said that in Chinese.)
I think that it would be more slow to progress your English...

And I found those once-in-America leaders quite arrogant and irresponsible...
(Because they had been in Ameica for a long time, so they were chosen to
be the leaders. They did give me such feeling. I do not mean to offend
some board surfers)
The discussion period in daytime were designed to talk about the lectures.
(There were free time in the evening; they could be used for discussing
the drama stuff...)
The foreign lecturers joined the discussion with us. They expected us to
talk about the speeches they gave earlier. But it was so embarrassing that
the discussions were not about the lectures...
And how could the leaders lead the discussion in Chinese and make the
lecturer like a deaf?
Alas...
