[Talk] another experience
Last night I had dinner with a couple, one of whom is from Michigan,
which I took for Mexican with my poor listening, and subsequently
a series of embarrassing misunderstanding followed.
On account of this devastating mistake, I decided to work much harder
on my listening comprehension, though I know there is no shortcut
to achieving my goal, especailly when you have to pay attention to other
wearing chores in you constant, nearly immutable and frozen life.
Incidentally, speaking of foreigners' miscellaneous accents, personally
I think people living inland may possess accents rather harder to understand,
because all the voices familiar to us are from TV shows, series and so on,
and those programs are always from big cities.
Actually I am not quite sure about that, and maybe Michigan is not located
in the inland. poor geography....whatever XD
