Straight line

The straight line is perfect. Every thing should move rectilinearly, unless disturbed by alient forces. Here comes the question. How do we know a line is straight? This ability of aesthetic clairvoyance, I think, is inherent in our mind, which is exactly what makes us "conscious." For example, a paper sheet on the desk. When I look at it, I know it's not rectilinear. I suppose every another person with normal sight can see that too. It's not straight, so there must be some perturbations, denoted "P". Whatever disturbance can only increase the distance between any two points on the straight line. Since separate points are joined together, there must be an adhesive force, denoted "A".
