I read an article in Newsweek that is about business in China. I'd like to share some ideas in this article. The title is "Generic Giants".It discuss China is the world's factory, But its top firms are seldom heard in global market. For examople, the second largest maker of telecom hardware, "HUAWEI". One out of six people on this planet uses Hauwei hardware. But not too many customers know that. This is also a big problem to China. The reseaons primarily in four ways. First, just like the title that is similar to generic drug. China business still can't access to pioneer technology to get competitive advantages. Many multinational companies still concern the intellectual property piracy. Second, they build their sucess the old-fashioned way-by selling to other businesses, rather than directly to consumer around the world, and by com- peting on price rather than on innovation. Third, because of domestic cutthroat competition fail these companies to build global brands. The domestic profit is very thin. Forth, the Chinese approach branding as a fact or skill set to acquire rather than an art to master. The most impressive M & A that Lenovo bought IBM PC manufactureing unit. So far does show depressing result in global market. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 114.41.114.199
