Hi, everyone, this is my first post in here. I have a two minutes English report next week, so I write down my script, because of poor grammer, so I need someone help to correct my composition. Thanks a lot. :) My report are as follows: Some researchers find there are two ways in processing spatial information, one is object recognition and the other is for the guidance of movement. In object recognition, we use object-centered system to process the spatial information. Object-centered system must be concerned with such properties of objects as size, shape, color, and relative location. So, this system is independent of what the subject’s behavior might be. And evidence shows that temporal lobe codes relational properties for objects. Another way of visual processing is guidance of movement. And this is controlled by a viewer-centered system. That means the location of an object and its orientation and motion must be determined relative to the viewer. And posterior parietal cortex has an important role in this system. The research find that there are many visual areas in posterior parietal cortex and many projections form here to eyes and limbs. Also, there are some connections to the prefrontal regions that have short-term memory of the location of events in space. The role of posterior parietal cortex in visual guidance are confirmed by the results of studies in neurons of monkeys. The complexity of spatial information is vary from simple eye movement control to complex viewer-centered representations. thank you for your patience.:) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 163.25.118.180
