[Talk] cram school
There are several people go to cram school for TOEFL this semester.
I always support them, but I'm also wondering if the decision is proper.
or the decision "in this time" is proper.
It is going to crush you down near the midterm or final exam with the
unimaginable work load, and you may sacrifice your grade.
A gal in my class complain to me about her situation, she took too many jobs
on her shoulders. Cram school, casual school report, lab part-time, and a
performance in the farewell party, she said she wants to taste everything but
suddenly found she's in a dilemma which trap her in a busy life. She still
doesn't know the exact goal of her future, TOEFL for her is a try, lab for
her is a place providing the picture of graduate institute(though she just kind
of a secretary there, not really gain any in-hand experience though.)
I mean, it seems people start their life too late, or should I say, we start
the serious thing too late. I was no better than the girl. The difference is
I just went to the cram school for one month in winter vacation.
I often regret when I look back my college life.
Hanging out, exploring Taipei city, having a good time in club...that was my
freshman life. I halted this attitude in the begginning of junior year and
put more focus on study, but often felt bored and couldn't concentrate for a
very long time thus lead me a grade below average. I'm sad. And about English,
I never tried harder to improve it in the first two years in college,
though I took TOEFL this Feburary (which surprised myself about my courage).
People say you should chase your dream, but I thought sometimes the exact
hunger to do something pops up at the wrong time. Frustrating, really.
