This is my first post here, thank you for coming in and see. =================== I want to buy a new notebook these days. So I had surfing on internet to find a properpriate one. Because of special use, I must install Linux operating system on my new notebook. for the reason, it is hard to have a notebook which support Linux. just one hour earlier, I saw a good news on HP official website: http://www.hp.com/sbso/buyguides/pg_notebooks/notebook-finder.html It says that HP company has products compatible with RedHat, a Linux distribution. First he asked me where do I live. I said, "I' am living in Taiwan(Formosa)." And I told him I wanted to buy a new notebook for Linux. Then he gave me a link that lists notebooks may suit for Linux, and the other link for consult in Taiwan. At this moment, I asked whether he is a person or just robot. He replied, "A real person." XD Then I asked for his comfirm on the notebooks listed in the link if they can make Linux installed inside and run correctly. Unfortunely, he said sorry to me because HP doesn't sell notebook with any Linux product and media. And he is not familiar with the Notebook producing line. Finally, he suggest me to contact the HP department in Taiwan for further consulting. However, I told him that I found a page on HP official site which says HP provides products close to RedHat (a Linux distribution). He said that HP truely provides products with RedHat, but only for server, not desktop or laptop computers. Although that answer makes me feel so disspointment. I still thank for his time to give me suggestions and will contact with the experts in Taiwan tomorrow. Then he said I am a custmer who have good patience and kind understanding. finally, he closed the chatting session. =================== i think this is a very good experience to chat with a real foreigner.
