Hi all, I'd like to share a nail polish swatch with you. To see pictures of the color and the nail polish's special effect, feel free to visit my blog http://muenchnerin.pixnet.net/blog/post/53498256 Otherwise for the text, please read on below. Since Jordana is more widely known in the non-chinese speaking society, I figure I should propbably have this post in English as well. Just in case some non-chinese-speaking girls are also searching for swatches of this series of Jordana nail polishes. I purchased this on cherryculture when they had a discount.Their normal retail price of this special effect polish is $2,99. The other regular shades Jordana polishes and nail treatment series are only $1,99, which is highly affordable and the performance is impressive too. So in the picture above you can see the polish bottle and I wear only one layer of it on my nails. In the bottle, I can't really see anything special about this polish. It is merely a hot pink with some white microbeads that are only seen when looked very very closely and conscioulsy. But once applied on the nails, as in the close-up picture above, you'll see there's a lot of ... bumps (?). Those are the microbeads covered in hot pink. They make the surface pretty sandy and thus rough when I touch my nails. But honestly, the texture cannot be noticed unless close, like if you are talking to someone face to face. In a distance, my nails look just as they are wearing a regular hot pink polish. I have to admit tho, I can't help touching my nails more often just to feel the sandy texture. The followings are some more photos in different light. This one below was taken under very strong natural sunlight when I was walking towards the metro station today. I don't think anyone will notice but I put on Jordana Quick Shine topcat on my pinky intending to protect the color. Now you can see the texture on the right half of my pinky is not as obvious as the other nails. It seems like the top coat smoothens the sandy texture. (Oh no!) I think if I had put on more layers of top coat as I normally would, the texture would be completely gone. Here's a close-up of the thumb while I am on the metro. Seriously, this texture is addictive to touch!! But then again, this last one below shows you how it looks in a distance that I believe we keep with most people. See? You can barely see the texture. I put my hand on my bag that was resting on my lap while sitting and used the other hand to take the picture. Already in this close distance I can hardly see a difference. I'd say it could look matte. My conclusion of Jordana Texture polish #03 Fiesty Fuchsia: I really like this polish. It's a beautiful, vibrant fuchsia/hot pink. It fact, it's my ideal hot pink. I wore only one layer in the pictures. With two layers the color becomes darker and the texture slightly more obvious. Since it's only $2,99 and I got it even cheaper, it's a nice item to have in my polish collection. It could be useful in some nail art design...I bet. I just can't think of one design that really requires this texture effect so far. My advice if you are considering buying this is go for it! Pick a shade you like and try out this nice texture polish! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 36.231.57.42
