Spanish Word of the Day (Saturday, February 7, 2009) acostarse, verb to lie down; to go to bed When you’re feeling tired, acostarse is a useful word. Remember that it’s reflexive in Spanish. Me voy a acostar un rato. (I’m going to lie down for a while.) Acostarse also means to go to bed. The -o of the stem changes to -ue in some cases: Siempre se acuesta temprano. (He always goes to bed early.) Acostarse con means to go to bed with somebody, in the romantic sense: Me gustaría acostarme con ella. (I’d like to go to bed with her.) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.175.226.155
