可是Ron是這麼說的 but "news" is singular. so. that modification doesn't work, because "were" is a plural verb.. 所以R認為 that是指代 news. 然後 一題類似題. SC-PP3-171. C.

C 的that 指代的不是 news 喔. 我如果沒有記錯的話 (不好意思手邊沒有Manhattan SC... 我會快去用一本來…). Manhattan SC 裡面把 that 定義為 touch modifier. 也就是說 it modifies the noun it "touches".
