你舉的這個例子相當好，這裡解釋一下，dis- 在這裡不是 not，而是
「加強」用的 intensifier，可以把當作 completely 來解。
最有名的例子就是 unloose，un- 在這裡也不是 not，而是 intensifier
，所以 unloose 不是「不鬆」，而是「非常鬆」。
在英文構詞規則裡，幾乎每個字首都有做 intensifier 的例子，再舉幾
個例子好了。
obdurate = ob (intensifier) + dur (hard) + ate (make) = very hard
= (adj) 固執的
promiscuous = pro (intensifier) + misc (mix) + u (SE) + ous (adj-
ending) = mix very much
= (adj) 雜亂的 (指性方面)
還有許多例子，但不多，當你背單字遇到一般字首的意義無法解釋的時候
，就要考慮是不是遇到 intensifier 的例子了。不用怕，來一個背一個，
來兩個，背一雙！
