從although the opposite我們可以知道下半句是反意重複
而下半句說high prices are the cause of the copying
盜版的起因是高價格。並從is equally plausible可以再得到一點線索，

因此上半句High software prices are frequently said to ___widespread
illegal copying
應該意思是：高價格的起因是盜版。
所以Ａ高價格導致盜版便跟我們的下半句：盜版的起因是高價格 重複了。
So,答案是Ｂ：高價格是因為盜版的關係。
