Describe a time when you helped someone
You should say：
who you helped and why
how you helped this person
what the result was
and explain how you felt about helping this person.

I'm gonna talk about the time I tried to help my friend pass the road test
for her scooter.
Eve is from Turkey, and she's my best friend -
we used to teach together in a school,
and she believed that she'd never be able to learn how to ride a scooter.
She couldn't even ride a bike!
I guess that in Turkey, that might be normal,
but in Australia, that's pretty abnormal.
Anyway, so I took her to this deserted place near a temple -
I guess it was like a parking lot, but there were no markings on the ground.
So, first of all, I had her sit behind me while I rode really slowly,
explaining how to accelerate and stuff like that.
When I thought she was ready, I told her to try,
but she just sat on the scooter, paralyzed.
No matter what I said, she couldn't seem to get herself to do anything.
As it turned out, she'd had a bad experience as a kid, falling off a bicycle,
so she was too terrified to get back on.
In the end, she never did get her license -
so I felt that I had completely wasted my time.
It was really annoying to keep urging her to ride but have her just sit there
like a stone.
