HDE Global Internship Program
HDE, Inc. (HDE) delivers an additional security layer to companies which are
willing to move their systems on to the cloud, but can not do so because they
need certain level of security control over their information. Our product/service,
owning over 74% of marketshare in Google Apps targeted security service area
in Japan, uses Python, Erlang, C++, PHP as a main language, and AWS as a
main infrastracture.
As an intern, you will work on our products and services with our employees,
coding, testing, discussing, etc. Specific responsibilities vary by project. Intern
projects depend on your background and experience, and the internship
duration will be flexible according to availability and your schedule.
Internship Detail
Duration:
About 12 weeks (Duration can be negotiable.)
Performance hours:
In principle, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday
Location:
HDE, Inc. Head Office Cloud Product Development division
GLASS CITY SHIBUYA 11F, 16-28, Nanpeidaicho, Shibuya, TOKYO, 150-0036 JAPAN
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical
field.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Must be currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to
the program after the completion of the internship.
● Experience in systems software or algorithms.
● Excellent implementation skills (C++, Python, or other).
● Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments.
● Familiarity with TCP/IP and network programming.
● Good English communication skills.
Benefits:
This is an unpaid internship. We will pay you 150,000 yen/month not for work
(because the program are not for work, to comply with the visa regulation) but
for your living costs (food/traveling expenses/apartment).

Airfare/Insurance Cost:
We will pay the insurance cost and airfare. Airfare shall be paid in Japanese
currency on the start day of the Internship.

To get better understanding of your skill, we ask applicants to try our “GIP
Admission Challenge”.
Step 3. Online interview
Our development department member will interview you via skype.
Step 4. Prepare to go Japan!
Discuss the period of internship, and prepare visa, air tickets, place to stay,
etc.
