Here at Giraffe English in Wuhan, we are looking for full-time teachers to join our friendly, enthusiastic team of English teachers. You would be responsible for planning and delivering classes in cooperation with a Chinese co-teacher to students between the ages of 3 and 12. Our 40 hour work week includes an average of 20-25 teaching hours, with the rest of the time available for lesson planning, trainings, and teambuilding.
What about Wuhan? A large modern city of over 10 million people and an excellent public transportation system, Wuhan city has a lot to offer everyone, whatever your interests may be!!
Food! There are so many local flavors to explore! International cuisine is easy to find as well.
Nightlife! There are many popular clubs that attract quite an exciting assortment of people!
Sports and outdoor activities! Wuhan is home to East Lake, China’s largest urban lake, as well as many other smaller lakes. Additionally, the Yangtze and Han Rivers converge in the middle of the city. The lakes and rivers offer a lot of room for running, biking, picnicking/bbq, and general exploration. They also make it possible to find some peace and quiet if that is important to you.
Music! Wuhan offers a lively music scene, attracting both local and international talent, and is considered by many to be the birthplace and home of Chinese punk music!
Shopping! Wuhan is home to many new shopping districts, farmer’s markets, and night-markets; whatever you might be looking for, you are guaranteed to find it!
Travel! If you are excited at the prospect of taking the opportunity to travel around China, you couldn’t ask for a more convenient location! Wuhan is accurately considered to be right in the middle of China. Major tourist destinations around China are easily accessible from Wuhan; Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, and Guilin, for example, can all be reached within3-5 hours by China’s comfortable high-speed trains. If you prefer to fly, Wuhan connects to almost everywhere around China, as
well as many international destinations.
