Florence的發展 首段講威尼斯和某城市發展又好又快很厲害,先講發 展的慢是因為位置不好。商業模式分離,artisan負責作,商人負責賣。後 來提到銀行業的幫助,還有兩大家族。最後說到教育。 3. 熱帶雨林。科學家想研究熱帶雨林,但canopy很難研究,有些科學家會 訓練猴子上去採植物給科學家研究。後來講了幾個特色,雨林生物多樣性與 溫帶不同,四季都很active, 即便開花是有週期性的,但是每個植物開花時 間不一樣,所以一直都有花在開。 聽力 C1 學生因為看牙醫所以沒有交下午的作業,老師問他為什麼交了copy, 才 發現學生並沒有買上課指定的教科書,都是跟同學或是圖書館借來看的。後 來老師說不應該,會儘快聯繫解決這件事情。 L1 教授問同學恐龍有多少種不同的名字,學生說有1000多種,教授解釋其 實沒有這麼多,考古學家一發現一個化石就取名字,另一個考古學家也發現 也給另一個名字,但後來發現是同一種恐龍。後來提到碳14定年為何不準確 的原因,提到化石化的困難。儘管現在有DNA analyses, 但是由於化石年代 太久所以DNA分析也不太準確。 L2 講人類最早出現在東歐還是南歐 以前覺得早期人類從非洲到歐洲,然後先住在南歐。但後來發現一些 crafts,定年後應該就可以知道答案,不過radiocarbon dating無法定這麼 久以前的東西,後來發現在四萬年前發生過一次火山爆發,火山灰籠罩歐 洲,然後這些crafts也都有被火山灰掩蓋的痕跡,所以證實應該是先在東 歐,再到南歐。 C2 學生找教授討論intern, 但教授去開會了。admin跟學生討論了一下這個 學生要參與的項目:golden eagle. 這屬於生態環境的項目,並且有申請到 資金,但是都用於生態環境研究tracking and restore了,所以經費不足 了,但是有學分可以拿。最後admin建議學生去聽一個科學講座,學生表示 會考慮看看。 L3 art history conceptualism 做了一些以自然為主的作品, 特色是不受museum和gallery 的限制,不一定要在室內展出,因此會對環境造成影響,舉了個spiral jetty當例子。 L4 Earth sciecne 講美國為何在1816年出現罕見嚴寒天氣,兩個原因,一是太陽活動減少,另 外是Indonesia火山爆發的dust and soot等等擋住陽光。 口說 1. 期末學生會有對課程的evaluation問你覺得的優點and/or缺點 (*命中小 範圍Q67) 2. Woman disagrees. 1.around the carts, student can’t dispose their trash in the garbage receipt, so the school should add more receipt to prevent trash throwing. 2.The carts are not only selling unhealthy food such as hot dogs and pizza, they also sell fruits and juice, which are good for students. 4. learning transfer it was influenced by the prior knowledge and experience to acquire new knowledge or tasks. the professor practiced the piano when he was young and when he was in university to learn typing, he used the same ability to type without seeing the keyboard. This is a positive example. Another negative example is his friend who used to have stage acting, speak loud to make sure the audience could hear, but he then went to a movie acting training and still speak loudly, and this is not necessary since the microphone is just a few inches to his mouth. 5.(*命中小範圍Q9)The student left his glasses at his parents’ home. The student could try to wait until his mother mailed him the glasses. he has a lot to read, without glasses, he could not read for long time. The student could also take a bus home to get the glasses and return. it takes couple of hours to go and return 6. Two ways of preventing soil salt accumulation To build pipe line to drain the excessive water the water from the underground has many salt, if we can drain the excessive water, the salt will also be drained out of the soil. To plant some salt resistant plants Farmers can cultivate salt resistant plants so they can still use the salt contained soil to produce. 寫作 整合寫作 (*命中大範圍Q18) 某海中生物jump out of the water的原因 1. Prey the flying insects They feed all the winter in Mexico. They feed on organisms on seafloor instead of the flying insects. 2. Remove parasite They have internal parasite which cannot be removed from outside. 3. Provoked by the tourist They jump out of the water whether or not the tourists are in their area. Universities should spend more money on buying the new facilities than on hiring famous teachers.
