Which of the following methods do you think will best introduce freshmen to
their campus?
1. Ask sophomores to be their mentors;
2. Give them a tour; or
3. Set up a Q&A center.
Use reasons and examples in your response.
你認為下列哪個方法，最能夠幫大一新生認識校園？
1. 請大二生當他們的導師；
2. 帶他們參觀校園；或
3. 設立問答中心。
請用理由與例子來解釋你的想法。
解題思路：
選擇: 就我的想法，大二生當導師最有助大一生認識校園。
In my opinion, having sophomore mentors would be the most helpful in introducing
first year students to the campus.
讓步、反駁: 雖然問答中心會回答學生的問題，他們提供的答案大多是罐頭答案，而且學生
還要先到問答中心，才能得到回答。
Although a Q&A center answer students' questions, the answers they offer are
mostly stock answers, and students have to go to the center first before getting
any responses.
理由一: 相對之下，大二生當導師，能提供及時的諮詢。
In contrast, sophomore mentors are there for timely consultation.
理由二: 此外，因為他們跟這些新生有私交，他們的回答就像是量身訂做。
In addition, as they know these incoming freshmen personally, their responses
are tailor-made.
高分範例：
就我個人而言，有大二生當導師，最有助大一生認識校園。雖然問答中心會回答學生的問題
，他們提供的答案大多是罐頭答案，而且學生還要先到問答中心，才能得到回答。相對之下
，大二生當導師，能提供及時的諮詢。有時候，大一生都還沒問，大二生就預想到他們之後
會遇到那些問題，並事先提醒他們。此外，因為他們跟這些新生有私交，他們的回答就像是
量身訂做。因此，我覺得大二生最有幫助。

face-to-face interview?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
如果你要接受訪問，你會選擇電話訪問還是面對面訪問？
請使用確切的理由與例子來支持你的答案。
解題思路：
選擇: 我認為這要看情況。
I think it depends on the situation.
理由一: 當然，面對面溝通也許更有效。
Of course, face-to-face communication may be more effective.
理由二: 另一方面，如果訪談者和我住在不同的城市，我們其中一人必須要長途跋涉，才能
訪談。這會花掉許多金錢和時間。
On the other hand, if the interviewer and I live in different cities, one of us
will need to travel for a long distance for the interview, which cost a lot of
money and time.
高分範例：
我認為這要看情況。當然，面對面溝通也許更有效。舉例來說，我可以透過文字和身體語言
來表達我的觀點。此外，如果有誤會，我從訪談者的眼中就可以看出來，而我可以立刻澄清
。另一方面，如果訪談者和我住在不同的城市，我們其中一人必須要長途跋涉，才能訪談。
這會花掉許多金錢和時間。在這種情況下，電話訪談會比較容易。
