有些例句結構不是很懂，請先進指教^^"

P.173 conform
EX.a. The quality control manager insisted that every product that left the
plant conform to the company's rigorous standards.
請問後面的conform主詞是 every product嗎?
為什麼是原型動詞?
2.
P.179 anxious
EX.b. The graphic designers tried to be calm during their presentation,
but you could tell they were anxious it would not be well received.
後面句型架構不太懂@@ 勞請前輩解說順便翻譯一下
