我查Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary
virtual
1.[before noun] almost a particular thing or quality
Ten years of incompetent government had brought about the virtual collapse of
the country's economy.
2.describes something that can be done or seen using a computer and therefore
without going anywhere or talking to anyone
virtual shopping
我覺得以解釋和例句來看，
virtual有加強、強調的功能，中文翻譯為事實上的、實際上的，也是在強調某件事物
另外如同上篇文章所述，有關電腦的也是用virtual，中文則是翻為虛擬的
這兩種意義並非相反，而是在形容不同方面的事物
