The sentence 1.) can be written as
"But before you go in, I need to put you on the official register."
without losing much of its original meaning.
In other words, the word "though" here is just a "but".
The sentence 2.) may be more commonly written as
"Take a trip to Barbados for five days starting only $1,200."
(才1200元起)
