She is the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen. 或是依照文意，名詞可以省略，但是the依舊存在： Ex. Of all the boys I know, Tom is the most generous (boy). 換句話說，如果該形容詞最高級後面「沒有」接名詞修飾，甚至沒有被省略的名詞，這個就沒有加the的意義跟必要，此情況往往是該形容詞最高級當補語之時。試比較（這部分例句是我印象中來，應該是旋元佑老師的書本句子）： Ex. Yangmingshan National Park is the most beautiful (park) in northern Taiwan. Ex. Yangmingshan National Park is most crowded in spring. 如果大概瞭解，就不難推敲出，adv的最高級，除非後面有修飾「adj + N」，否則也不該接the： Ex. Tom runs fastest in our class. 因此： He looks happiest when he plays baseball with his teammates. 此處的happiest前面不接the，就是因為其後沒有名詞，也沒有被省略的名詞。至於為何He looks like the happiest man when he plays baseball with his teammates.是錯，原因如下：「the + 最高級形容詞 + N」此句構必須要有一個「明確範圍」才能讓該N跟其餘對象相比較，此時最高級的邏輯才說得通，所以如果改成以下就可以了： He looks like the happiest man among the players on court when he plays baseball with his teammates. --> among the players on court就是範圍。或者： I shall make you the happiest bride in the world. --> in the world 就是範圍。 : 題目: The figures put forth about the cost of new products are very___________. : · A. large : · B. a lot : · C. much : · D. many : 疑問: 這題看不太懂主詞是誰,誰修飾主詞. 所以不懂怎麼選~ : 麻煩解答謝謝~~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 180.217.153.160 ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/TOEIC/M.1434504783.A.AB0.html
