翻了一下手邊的五本學習性辭典 找了一家比較恰當的注解給你看吧
根據Longman Contemporary English Dictioary(4th edition)
3. [DO SOMETHING YOU SHOULD DO]
[intransitive and transitive] to do or provide the things you are
expected to, because you are responsible for them or they are part
of your job
=> the costs of delivering adequate nursing care
=> the failure of some services to deliver the goods
(=do what they have promised)
=> The company will deliver on its promises .
由此可知 當deliver後接工作或服務
deliver會被解釋為提供，做的中文意思 不是傳遞
這算是搭配詞用法(collocation) 要講成習慣用法也無不可啦
