可試教15分鐘，老師是美國籍，有來過台灣任教過半年。
Greetings and salutations. My name is Tom. I teach English as a second
language and have been doing so for many years. My first experiences were
teaching in school in both mainland China and Taiwan. If you are looking for
a teacher who help you reach the next level of English, then perhaps I might
be the right one for you. My methodology for teaching revolves around three
main aspects:
1. Learn and retain one new word every day. In order for you to successfully
speak another language, it only makes sense to broaden and expand your
vocabulary. Without doing so, you may speak very well about matters that
interest you. However, a more general command of the language will help you
in situations that you do not expect.
2. The more you talk, the better. My classes are focused around having
natural conversations with an emphasis on your speaking. The more you speak,
the easier it becomes for you. Of course, corrections will be forthcoming
when you make a mistake. But through speaking more, and with a native
speaker, you will become more confident in your ability to communicate in
English.
3. Punctuality and persistence are key. Just as Rome wasn’t built in a day,
neither can your mastery of a new language take place a short span of time.
It requires practice almost every day. However, this commitment is greatly
helped with a reliable teacher. I am not a here today gone tomorrow type of
teacher. You can expect me to be on time and to meet you at the expected
hour. However, sometimes the unexpected happens. If for some reason I can’t
meet you at the appointed hour, then I’ll do my best to let you know in
advance.
My classes include a 15-minute free trial class. Afterwards, the rate is
$8/50 minutes. Classes can be taken in 50 minute or 25 minute blocks.
Payments will be handled through Paypal. My times available for students
living in Taiwan is 7pm – 10pm and 11pm – 2am Monday to Saturday.
