[情報] PhD position available in Germany
PhD position available in femtosecond spectroscopy, Institute of Physics,
Rostock, Germany
Within the joint research project 'Light2Hydrogen' a PhD position
(E13/2) is available in the research group “Dynamics of Molecular
Systems” at the Physics Department of the University of Rostock.
The focus of this specific PhD position is on the dynamics and
mechanisms of photocatalytical hydrogen generation. The experimental
methods span from femtosecond laser spectroscopy to steady-state and
time-resolved absorption, fluorescence and Raman measurements.
The PhD work will be embedded in the main activities of the group
which aim at understanding and controlling molecular processes like
charge transfer, nuclear wavepacket motions, dynamics of electronic
excitations, energy and charge transport in complex systems, excitons
in organic materials and mechanisms of chemical reactions. The results
are relevant for functional materials, photovoltaic devices or fuel
cells.
We are seeking for strongly motivated candidates with a diploma or
masters degree in physics or physical chemistry. Experience in optics,
laser spectroscopy and a strong background in molecular physics or
catalysis is beneficial, but not a prerequisite.
Starting Date: April 2011
